What do people call you?

Cristina

Where are you from?

Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

How would you describe yourself?

I’m creative, ambitious and quite the perfectionist.  I’m a thinker.  I try to always stay positive and find joy in even the little things in life.

What is your favorite hobby?

My favorite hobby is designing.  Graphic design, web design, you name it.  Another big passion of mine is singing.

What is your all-time favorite beauty product?

I don’t know if I have a favorite product, but I do have a favorite beauty brand.  It’s Danish and is called “Nilens Jord”.  It’s free of perfume and parabens and is animal cruelty-free – something that means a lot to me.  The brand has everything from mascara to nail polish and I just love it.

When and why did you start your website?

I started my website about two years ago when the name “cristina.dk” finally became available – I was so excited to get my very own name as my domain! I’d been designing websites for friends and myself for a while and decided to pursue it professionally.  I have a degree in ‘Multimedia Design’, which inspired me to start my own little design business.

What should readers expect from your website?

I would like to eventually include a blog, but for now it’s mostly a ‘portfolio website’ – You can read about the design process, see my work and get in touch if you’d like to work with me.

When it comes to having your own business, what is the best piece of advice you have received?

Don’t undervalue your work by offering to work for next to nothing.  When you’re just starting out, it’s very tempting to lower your prices to attract those first customers…Don’t do it.  Be confident enough in your work to know what you’re worth – creating something great takes time, so don’t be afraid to let your prices reflect that.  People will respect you for it.
