Life. Is. Hard.

I have been missing from the blog world for a minute and I am sure that you have noticed.

As hard as writing this is going to be, I believe I owe it to my readers to fill you in a little bit without going into too much detail.  I’m not ready to completely spill my heart out in words so here is what I’ve got.

During the month of September my world was turned upside down and ripped a part.  I posted that I was going to Las Vegas early September and I was very excited, but this trip was no ordinary vacation.  This trip was the hardest week in my life to date.  It was going to be the last time I was able to spend time with my grandma and I knew it.  The hardest part was leaving my grandma and aunt at the airport.  It was the very last time I talked to her, saw her, and hugged her.  It was absolutely heartbreaking.  11 days later, my grandma lost her battle with cancer.

During this time, some other heart wrenching things happened.  My cousin Shayna lost her twin baby boys (you can read more about that here) and my mom was in an ATV accident while I was in Vegas and is lucky to be alive.

If you know me well, you know that I have a huge heart.  This past month my heart has been aching.  Aching for my grandma, myself, my family, and anyone else involved during these tough times.  Everything piling on me at once has caused me to break down a little and that is okay.  I needed this away time for me.  I am hoping to get back into posting on a regular basis soon but I am still trying to jump back into life so please bare with me.

Thank you for sticking around.

xo, Sammi
