Scrubs in general are a beauty must have, but it’s hard to find ones that are actually good. I will pretty much try out any scrub that comes my way to find a good one. THAT is how much I love me some scrubs. I recently came across the Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub and I don’t think I have ever tried a scrub quite like it. Like in the title…it is a dead sea salt scrub, duh, that contains 21 minerals and moisturizing oils for your skin and comes in the scent Ocean Breeze.
I tried it out in the shower for the first time and let me tell you it was an experience. Let me start off by saying that I think it would be easier to use it in the shower rather than during a bath BUT *caution* since there are oils in the scrub it can be slippery AF. I almost fell on my ass about 10 times and although it could make for some good comedy I am very happy I didn’t actually hurt myself. But enough about me, back to the scrub. This scrub as an exfoliant is really good. It isn’t too abrasive and it doesn’t desolve as soon as it touches water. It did a wonderful job of scrubbing away dead skin. Now, mix that with the lovely minerals and oils…your skin is amazingly soft!
There were two things I didn’t like about this scrub and that was: 1. When you get out of the shower you still feel a little oily, and 2. The smell. I’m not a huge fan of feeling oily/greasy during the day after putting on body oil or lotion so this was a bummer moment for me. It won’t stop me from using this product though. For me, this is the perfect spa night scrub to use before bed. The oils will be able to soak into your skin throughout the night and make you feel silky smooth. Lastly, the smell. At first I liked it and it was a very fresh scent, but after I got out of the shower the smell lingered and left a slight “old lady” scent. That is again another reason why I would only use it at night because I wouldn’t want to smell like that during the day.
Overall, I really liked this scrub and will definitely continue to use this scrub when I have spa nights. I recommend that you check it out here and give it a try!
What is your favorite scrub? I would love to try it out!
